For two whole days, from 9.00 to 19.00 vineyards and wineries Ager Falernus were opened to visitors on the occasion of the last days of the harvest of the year 2769 Falerno “ab Urbe condita”, ie “from the founding of Rome.”
The Lands of Falerno, in the province of Caserta, include the municipalities of Carinola, Cellole, Falciano del Massico, Mondragone and Sessa Aurunca. It is a district that preserves the ancient history of agri-food excellence, a wine that was known and appreciated by the ancient Romans and the knowledge of which is worth further consideration and tramandata.E ‘was made possible by the shuttle bus, also observed the extraordinary remains walls of the production units of two thousand years ago winemakers, positioned across the slopes of Mount Petrino and Mount Massico, unique archaeological jewels to mondo.Presso the Civic archaeological Museum “Biagio Greek” from Mondragone it was possible to admire the famous wine amphorae which it introduced visitors on a journey through time that has led them to the barrels and bottles of the XXI century.
On Sunday, with a shuttle bus and tour guide in tow, it was possible to reach the various places of interest, including the cellar and the vineyards of the company, Vitis Aurunca.
